we got to go to this show which starred sean hayes, kristin chenoweth, and molly shannon. hilarious.

we took a great dance class at paul taylor, probably my favorite.
devin and i traveled to lady liberty for his first trip. she's kind of ugly, truth be told, but unbelievably touching and patriotic.

we took a stroll through central park and ended up at the metropolitan museum of art.
isn't this bamboo structure/piece of art absolutely amazing?

we went to some great shows. i was able to see "chicago" for the first time (not pictured) and we also went to a japanese dance concert, "sankai juku: tobari - as if in an exhaustible flux," which was amazing and totally different from anything i've ever seen (also not pictured). then we went to the classic "wicked" and "billy elliot."

30 rockefeller plaza was fun. i wish we had spotted kenneth, he's cute. fun ice-skating going on.
the food was great on this trip. we had some authentic chinese food, great thai and some burgers from a local place called "vynl." we had fun here because of all the mosaics on the tables and in the bathrooms. each bathroom had a themed room after a music artist. they played the music from the musician in the restroom and they had huge mosaics of each artist. this is elvis. they also had cher, dolly parton (the pic is inappropriate for this blog), nelly and...well, i can't remember the fifth.

we got to do a fun and educational tour at radio city music hall. we were blown away at the costumes, architecture, and planning that went into that building. very art-deco and well preserved.

a real rockette! devin was so excited to pose for this pic.

we paid our respects at ground zero. it is amazing to see the progress they've made construction wise but there is still so much heartbreak at that location it is pretty heavy to visit. the new museum seems like it will be amazing. we got a little taste of what will be there and it will be a great memorial.

i love that this temple is just right in the middle of this busy intersection by the lincoln center. isn't it beautiful?

fun trip. we ran from sun up til sun down and loved every minute of it (well, mostly). new york is such a different city than salt lake. i'm so grateful we can do these trips while i'm still feeling well.
