I went snowshoeing up the canyon a few weeks ago. I came across a few deer (you can see one of them in the trees above) and I could sense a mountain lion stalking me, but he couldn't catch up to me fortunately. Here are a couple pics from that excursion.

oh dev! snow shoeing is so wonderful. i will come with you next time and i will protect you from that lion. i think he is probably just sizing you up for his next meal, if i know mountain lions (and i do).
